Terms of Service

Last Updated: October 5, 2026 • Applies to: Website Visitors, Template Purchasers & Web Design Clients

Welcome to Maternal Support Co. (“we,” “our,” “us,” operating at maternalsupportco.com). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to our website, purchase of digital products, and engagement of custom website design services.

By accessing our website, purchasing digital toolkits, or commissioning website design services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or purchase our materials.

1

Scope of Services & Nature of Offerings

Maternal Support Co. provides business infrastructure, operational templates, educational materials, and custom website design specifically created for independent birth and perinatal professionals (including doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, and birth educators).

Important Professional Distinction: Maternal Support Co. is a creative design studio and business publisher. We are not a healthcare provider, medical clinic, hospital, law firm, or legal service. We do not provide clinical diagnosis, medical care, obstetrical treatment, or formal legal representation. All materials are educational and operational tools intended for business administration.

2

Intellectual Property & Digital Product License

All digital templates, contract wording, Canva layouts, PDF documents, brand assets, site graphics, and code published by Maternal Support Co. are protected by intellectual property and copyright laws.

Your Single-Practitioner Commercial License:

When you purchase a digital toolkit, agreement template, or Canva package, Maternal Support Co. grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-business license to customize and use the materials within your own independent practice:

  • Permitted Uses: You may edit the templates in Canva or Word, add your business branding and logo, adapt policies and pricing, export completed documents, and share finalized PDFs or intake forms directly with your paying clients.
  • Prohibited Uses: You may not resell, redistribute, sub-license, donate, publish, or publicly share editable Canva template links, raw document files, or master files in shared folders, social media groups, or online marketplaces.
  • No Derivative Template Resale: You may not modify our templates to create competing digital template products for commercial resale or distribution to other practitioners.

Custom Website Design Services

For clients engaging Maternal Support Co. for custom website design:

  • Project Milestones & Timelines: Build turnaround times (such as 7 business days for Starter Presence or 14 business days for Full Doula Studio) begin upon receipt of your completed onboarding questionnaire, essential practice copy, and required visual assets (photos, logo).
  • Post-Launch Revision Window: Each website package includes a designated post-launch revision window (such as our standard 30-day revision and support window) to fine-tune copy, imagery, colors, and layout details to ensure the site accurately represents your practice.
  • Scope Boundaries: The revision window covers calibration of agreed design elements. Significant structural redesigns, additional full pages, or functional additions beyond the original scope may be quoted separately.
  • Client Ownership: Upon complete settlement of all project fees, 100% ownership of your website’s custom code, layout styling, copy, and visual implementation transfers to you. Maternal Support Co. charges no mandatory monthly platform subscription fees.
4

Payments, Fees & Billing

All fees are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) or the applicable currency specified at checkout. You agree to pay all charges incurred at the published rates.

Payment processing is facilitated through authorized, independent third-party gateways (including PayPal, Razorpay, and Stripe). By submitting payment, you authorize our payment processors to charge your selected payment method.

Payment Inquiries: If you believe an error occurred on your receipt or billing statement, please contact us at [email protected] before initiating a formal dispute so we can review the transaction logs and resolve the matter directly.

5

Refunds & Cancellations

All refund, exchange, and cancellation requests are governed strictly by our dedicated Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

In brief: digital products are generally final once access or downloads have been made available, with customer-friendly support for technical access issues; website design services involve committed labor and may be eligible for cancellation before dedicated project development begins.

6

Disclaimers & User Customization Responsibility

All templates, contracts, and business resources are provided as customizable starting frameworks.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and tailoring all contract terms, policies, fees, and client disclosures to comply with local laws and your professional practice standards.
  • Templates are not guaranteed to be legally sufficient, binding, or enforceable in every jurisdiction or court dispute.
  • You should consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction if you require legal advice, document customization, or contract review.
  • Our website design services do not guarantee specific commercial outcomes, Google rankings, lead quantities, or practice revenue.

For full disclosures, please review our comprehensive Medical & Legal Disclaimer.

7

Third-Party Platforms & Dependencies

Our products and websites often connect with external platforms (such as Canva for template editing, domain registrars, cloud hosting providers, and payment processors).

Maternal Support Co. does not own or control these external services. We cannot be held liable for third-party service outages, platform modifications, fee changes, or account restrictions imposed by external providers. Users are responsible for maintaining their own external accounts and complying with their terms.

8

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maternal Support Co., its owners, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, business interruption, client disputes, birth cancellations, data loss, or legal costs arising out of or related to your use of our templates, guides, or website design services.

In all cases, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the actual amount paid by you to Maternal Support Co. for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

9

Termination & License Revocation

Maternal Support Co. reserves the right to revoke your digital product license and terminate access to our digital files if you materially breach these Terms, including by engaging in unauthorized resale, public sharing of Canva template edit links, or infringement of our intellectual property rights.

10

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable governing laws, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

In the event of any controversy, claim, or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your purchase, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally and in good faith by contacting our support desk before initiating formal arbitration or legal proceedings.

11

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued access to our website or use of our services following published updates signifies acceptance of the revised Terms.
